Rudolph Phone: (410) 658-2808 Speaker Busch Names Rudolph Vice-Chair Delegate's role on Economic Matters critical as northeast MD prepares for BRAC ANNAPOLIS, MD - Speaker Michael E. Busch announced today the appointment of Delegate David Rudolph (D - Cecil) as Vice-Chairman of the Economic Matters Committee. The committee oversees economic development, business regulations, public utilities, insurance and a variety of other issues pertaining to the state's business climate. "Northeast Maryland is bracing for dramatic change as a result of the Base Realignment and Closure process," said Speaker Busch. "As Vice-Chairman of Economic Matters, Dave Rudolph will play a key role in promoting economic development while protecting the region's interests as BRAC makes its mark on Harford and Cecil Counties." Delegate Rudolph has represented Cecil County since January 11, 1995. He currently serves on the Health and Government Operations Committee, where he chairs the Pharmaceuticals Subcommittee. He has been recognized for his efforts in the General Assembly to increase prescription drug coverage and access to affordable healthcare in rural areas.
